Executive – Process Excellence

Due to our rapid expansion, Elegant Knitting International located in Biyagama EPZ is seeking a dynamic Process Excellence Executive to join our growing team. This role is key to driving organizational efficiency, productivity, and innovation by refining and optimizing core business processes across the factory.

As part of the Process Excellence Department, you will play a hands-on role in identifying improvement opportunities, leading lean transformation projects, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. You will collaborate across departments to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity — ensuring that Elegant Knitting continues to set the standard in process excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operations.

  • Analyze data to uncover bottlenecks and recommend measurable, evidence-based improvements.

  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

  • Support change management efforts, ensuring effective communication and staff engagement.

  • Conduct internal trainings to build lean and problem-solving capability across teams.

  • Liaise with external consultants to ensure process excellence projects are implemented effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with process audit requirements and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

  • 1–2 years of experience in process improvement, operations, or Lean manufacturing.

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Blue Belt) preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proficiency in English and Sinhala.
